Notes
Muriel Harker, née Whitehead, (1916-1988) was born in Hebden, her father being a driver for T. & A. Stockdale, the corn merchant and grocery store based at Bridge House. She married John Hammond Harker of Grassington in 1840. They had a daughter, Janet, but shortly after he died in a flying accident in 1942. He is buried below Muriel's commemoration stone, with a Commonwealth War Grave headstone.
The same stone also commemorates Elizabeth Harker, née Hammond, (1877 - 1966), Muriel's mother-in-law.
