Notes
The poem at the end of the inscription is a slightly modified verse from William Howcroft's poem "The Graves of my Parents" published in 1842. Howcroft was a Primitive Methodist poet born in Hambleton, Yorkshire.
Their granddaughter Faith is commemorated on the neighbouring memorial.
